We’re not British, but we fell hard for British puddings, especially sticky toffee drowning in custard. The flavours were nostalgic, comforting, and somehow magical.
When we started making ice cream at home, one question kept coming up: why aren’t more ice creams made with custard? It’s rich, velvety, and packed with flavour and the UK invented it!
So we started Pike’s Pints: small-batch ice cream inspired by classic British desserts, made with a proper custard base. Every scoop is our love letter to the puddings that stole our hearts.

CUSTARD-BASED ICE CREAM?

Most ice creams are made with just cream, milk, and sugar but custard-based ice creams take things to the next level. What’s the secret ingredient? Egg yolks.
Those British golden yolks add richness, smoothness, and depth that other ice creams just can’t match. The result is a texture that’s unbelievably velvety and a flavour that lingers in the best way. It’s the kind of scoop that makes you slow down and savour every bite.
At Pike’s Pints, we use a traditional custard base in every batch not because it’s easier (it’s not!), but because it’s better. It’s the perfect foundation for dessert-inspired flavours like Sticky Toffee Pudding and Lemon Curd, adding a luxurious feel that mirrors the real puddings they’re based on.
Simply put, custard-based ice cream is dessert on a whole new level.
